What makes us special

Lymewood Farm Pub, Haydock

Heading to the races, visiting our local beauty spots, looking for a great venue for a family meal or just passing through? Whatever the occasion, Lymewood Farm in Haydock is first past the post in our pleasant corner of Merseyside.

Don’t know the area? Haydock lies along the East Lancs Road, which famously links Liverpool and Manchester. Next door to St Helens, we’re surrounded by handsome countryside that you may wish to explore before you come and visit us.

See some of Haydock before your visit

The East Lancs Road is the UK’s first modern intercity highway, providing a much more scenic route between the North West’s two biggest cities than chugging along the M62. You’ll know this of course if you live nearby. You’ll probably also know about local attractions like Lyme and Wood Country Park just half a mile from our door.

Perhaps you’re coming to us after enjoying the views from Skylark Hill, playing a round of golf at one of the nearby courses or either before or after seeing the horses pound the track at our popular racecourse. Even if you’re just strolling round, we’ve got everything you need to enjoy your time with us.

All your needs are covered

Our pub restaurant is perfect for the whole family. We’ve got a kids’ play area that’s next to our family dining area, while we also have disabled access, high chairs, free WiFi and plug sockets you’re welcome to use. You can even charge your electric vehicle in our car park if you need to.

Our beer garden’s the place to be on a nice day, but if you can’t stay, why not order some food to take away. Whether you’re after a light bite or a full meal with pudding, you can also place an order for delivery if you prefer.

Generously portioned pub food

If you are able to stay and eat with us, pull up a chair and pick from our extensive food menu. You’ll find pub classics like pies, burgers and fish and chips, as well as a selection of fresh salads, gluten-free options and vegetarian and vegan dishes. There are plenty of kids’ meals for your little ones to choose between too.

All of our portions are generous to say the least. But if you’re feeling particularly hungry, maybe you’d like to go for our largest carvery. Available in different sizes to suit your appetite, we slow-roast our meats for up to 14 hours and carve them in front of you before serving with all the trimmings. Just make sure you save some space for one of our delicious desserts, such as our huge slices of freshly baked cake.

We’re looking forward to seeing you soon.
