If you live in the area, you may know all about where we are. Runcorn has grown up on the bank of the River Mersey opposite Widnes. We’re on the outskirts of town on the edge of Green Wood, just a couple of miles from the M56 motorway. This means we’re just as handy if you’re passing through as we are if you’re local. 

Whichever you are, there’s lots to see and do nearby before or after you visit us. Perhaps you’re going for a walk around one of the local woods, hitting the shops in town or at Runcorn Shopping City, seeing a show at The Brindley or visiting Norton Priory. Got kids? We’re walking distance from a number of playgrounds, including Sandymoor.

 

Catering for the whole family

When the weather’s not playing ball, you’ll be happy to know that your little ones can still have fun in our indoor play area, right next to our family dining area. There’s fun to be had outside in our beer garden too, especially if the sun’s out. A closer inspection of our car park reveals our electric vehicle charging point, giving you another reason to stop by if you’re travelling along the M56. 

Want some more reasons to visit? How about free WiFi, disabled access and high chairs, as well as plug sockets if you need them. Not to mention a great selection of food and drinks that includes local cask ales, all the pub classics you can ask for and freshly baked cakes to finish off.

Our food menu is exciting, extensive and inexpensive. We serve generous portions because we want to fill you up and send you home happy. This includes our burgers, pies and grills, as well as our wraps, salads and sharers. And of course, our Carvery, where 14-hour slow-roasted meats play a starring role. 

We have a large selection of kids’ meals for your little ones to choose from, and baby food too. The smallest of diners probably won’t be ready to browse our dessert menu, where you’ll find an alluring array of sweet treats and some of the biggest slices of cake you’ve ever seen.
