Where are we in Sunderland?

Lying on the outskirts of Sunderland, we’re around five miles west of the city centre. This means we’re perfectly placed for a relaxing meal after you’ve been exploring in town or along the coastline. Or maybe you’ve been sightseeing closer by with a trip to Hylton Castle or a walk along the River Wear. 

Work at one of the local business parks? We’re here for you to sit down for breakfast before work or grab a mid-morning pitstop. Live in Washington? Why not walk round for a meal when you fancy an evening off cooking. Whatever the occasion, our food menu ticks all the boxes.

 

The pub food, prices and portions you want

We have a great selection of pub classics for you to choose between, all reasonably priced and served in generous portions. From burgers, pies and fish and chips to grills, baps, sharers and salads, we also have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. 

You may find it hard to look past our carvery though.  Fourteen-hour slow-roasted meats are accompanied by all the trimmings, including Yorkshire puds, roast potatoes and hods of veg. Our epic roast is also featured in a smaller size on our kids’ menu, along with lots of other options for your bairns. 

Speaking of lots of options, you’re going to be spoilt for choice when you check out our dessert cabinet. With giant slices of hand-decorated cake and a range of other sweet treats made in our kitchen, we also have an ice cream parlour where you can create your very own combination of flavours.

Can’t stay to enjoy your food? We offer takeaway on all your favourites, including our carvery and desserts. We’d prefer it if you can stay, of course, so you can take advantage of all the good things going on at our pub restaurant. Not least when the sun’s out, so you can make the most of our beer garden and outdoor playground.

From free WiFi to plenty of plug sockets and high chairs for you to use, we also have disabled facilities if you need them. We love looking after families, with a special section for you to sit down in with the whole gang. Plus we also have an indoor play area for your little ones to have some fun in.
